What would it be like to use your gifts in strategy, technology, innovation, and operations to build an agile infrastructure for ministry growth? Here at Alpha Canada, that is what we do and who we do it with everyday.

We are a national Christian non-profit organization with creative and highly motivated people that work together to serve the Church in Canada. We have a great opportunity for a leader who can build for future capacity, not simply optimize for current needs.

This role bridges vision and execution—Leading the translation of strategic priorities into practical structures, processes, and rhythms across the organization. This is a leadership role focused on mobilizing people, guiding innovative change, and stewarding organizational health as Alpha Canada grows. The Director of Technology & Operations ensures that Alpha Canada’s vision is supported by strong, scalable operational and technical systems.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, collaborative leader who works closely with every team, executive leadership, and ministry partners to help the organization operate with integrity, excellence, and faithfulness. You will serve as the overseer for organization-wide system and process decisions while building alongside leaders and staff. This role requires someone who can lead through influence, guide teams through change, and make thoughtful decisions that balance innovation, stewardship, and care for people. We are interested in a candidate who is comfortable working in ambiguity, leading others through it, and designing structures. The ideal candidate has a stewardship mindset and is capable of navigating complexity to lead with calm and clarity. You should be an early-adopter of digital tools with strong strategic thinking paired with hands-on operational leadership, execution, and the ability to bring others with you.

What You Get to Do

  • Design Systems for Growth: Lead the design and implementation of operational systems and tools that support long-term scalable growth.
  • Lead Digital Strategy: Provide leadership and oversight of the ministry’s software stack and steward the selection and use of digital tools.
  • Drive Automation: Develop automation and digital solutions that empower staff to focus more deeply on ministry work.
  • Champion Adoption: Lead organizational change and adoption, ensuring consistent, agreed-upon systems and workflows consistently understood, adopted, and sustained across teams, while supporting leaders and staff through transitions.
  • Manage Risk: Maintain an organizational risk register with data and technology
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee agile organizational operations and provide leadership to staff in Salesforce, data, and IT management.
  • Facilitate Collaboration: Establish and steward operational rhythms that support cross-team collaboration and identify bottlenecks to efficiency.
  • Champion a culture of thoughtful experimentation, piloting new tools, processes, and approaches to improve effectiveness while balancing risk and stewardship.
