<h3>About the ECA:</h3><p>The Escarpment Corridor Alliance (ECA) was founded in 2022 to address the increasing habitat and green space fragmentation of the Niagara Escarpment of South Georgian Bay. The ECA is now a regionally focused conservation land trust with a holistic approach that aims to balance people and nature.</p><h3>Position Summary:</h3><p>ECA is seeking an experienced fundraising and communications professional to co-lead fundraising with the Executive Director and lead marketing and communications activities.</p><p><strong>Reports To:</strong> Executive Director</p><p><strong>Direct Reports:</strong> Marketing &amp; Communications Manager, Social Media Coordinator</p><h3>Major Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Leading, executing, and monitoring an integrated communications program to provide donor stewardship and support revenue generation in annual giving, events, major gifts, legacy giving and the land securement campaign</li><li>Assisting the Executive Director with organizing the major donor program</li><li>Reviewing and executing a best in class donor stewardship program</li><li>Co-leading the design of the annual fundraising strategy, major campaigns and case for support creation with the Executive Director</li><li>Overseeing all programs other than major giving, including budget management and the identification of new revenue streams within these portfolios</li><li>Oversee donation administration led by the Operations &amp; Finance Manager (OFM)</li><li>Oversee the fundraising CRM database with the support of the OFM</li><li>Plan and execute at least one major annual fundraising event</li><li>Lead the creation of the Annual Report and annual Community Update event each spring</li><li>Managing and mentoring direct reports</li><li>Maintaining good relations with donors, volunteers, team members and other not for profit organizations.</li></ul><h3>Minor Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Annually establishing measurable goals with direct reports and monitoring and mentoring those reports throughout the year to the successful completion of the established goals</li><li>Regular check-ins with direct reports bi-monthly</li><li>Supporting the Director of Conservation as needed</li><li>Support education and community events</li><li>Support the Board of Directors with fundraising and communications</li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Post-secondary education in fundraising, marketing, communications and/or sales or 10 years equivalent experience in a management position within one or more of these disciplines</li><li>Demonstrated direct involvement (leadership preferred) with annual fundraising achievements of $1 million+ gross revenue</li><li>Experience leading the organization and execution of fundraising events</li><li>Experience developing and managing donor stewardship programs</li><li>CFRE or in the process of working towards Canadian Fundraising Executive</li><li>Four years minimum of working for a registered charity in Canada</li><li>Strong leadership skills to motivate and mentor direct reports</li><li>Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written</li><li>Very creative</li><li>Project management experience</li><li>Empathetic team player who believes deeply in the mission &amp; vision.</li></ul><h3>Application Process:</h3><p>Please email your resume and cover letter addressed to Jarvis Strong, Executive Director: <a href="mailto:info@myescarpment.ca" target="_blank">info@myescarpment.ca</a></p><p>We hope to have this individual in place by March 1st, ideally sooner.
